Scrappy bear paw quilts have always been a favorite. A few years ago I made a two color paws only quilt in yellow, and a few years later, I made a traditional bear paw quilt with hot pink. But during a Sunday afternoon nap, this design came into my dreams and I knew exactly the bundles of fabric I would use with it. From the time I dreamed it until I had a quilt was a week! Maybe my quickest turn around EVER!

I love how it turned out. I named her ‘Hearthside’ and there will definitely be some autumnal colorways in September! It’s already back from the quilter and I’ve got it bound. I used this stripe I think is from Fig Tree quilts. I love how it brings out the purpley colors and the stained glass feel of this quilt. It’s backed with a Laura Ashley sheet from Home Goods and it is so scunchy and pretty. I immediately started a second one.

I absolutely love how this dreamy teal colorway is turning out. And I know it’s going to be absolutely magical set inside it’s borders. I’m kind of obsessed with the swans and the texture and the sparkly low volume background patchwork that doesn’t fade into obscurity but lets the focal points GLOW.
There’s a lot of chain piecing and a fair amount of trimming but the results are WORTH IT. I can’t wait to show the whole thing. You can find the kit for the Dreamland colorway here.

Progress on this one has been a little slower as I’ve been catching up with shipping in my little shop and take things at a summer’s pace. But I have two red, white, and blue quilts in my head, so we’ll see if I can pace myself <3 Thank you for reading my quilty thoughts! Happy summer, friends!
