Outfoxing Granny

February 24, 2012

I admit it. I have been bitten by the Granny bug. Have you seen these lovely blocks designed by Jolene? They are all over pinterest and I have loved them from afar. Then, I decided it was time for me to jump in. Being able to stay awake past 10 am was a definite factor. I started Wednesday morning, thinking I would get everything cut and maybe make a couple of blocks…

And then I just kept going. So this morning, I found myself doing this.

I really missed my sewing machine and crafting and finishing. I think it is something I need just like I need sleep and food and frozen yogurt.

These are totally addictive and I love that in just a few days I have a beautiful new quilt!

And I don’t think I will ever get tired of seeing beautiful binding on a spool. And I love the little heart that the extra bobbin thread makes. It made me smile today, so I thought I would share my little day maker with you.

Anyone else addicted to Granny Squares? I’d love to see your pics!

I love your granny squares! I’ve been bitten by the bug but haven’t jumped in yet. It’s an awesome block.

And look at you, so smart using a leftover spool for binding. I will be trying that for sure!

What a cute quilt!! I don’t think I’ll be able to hold out much longer – I’ll have to make some granny squares 🙂

Glad to see I’m not the only one who uses old spools for binding!
