Pretty Little Things

February 9, 2016

Lately, it seems my world keeps speeding up. Between laundry, dishes, waiting in the carpool line, and running our fabric shop, finding time to sew can be a challenge. I’ve found joy, excitement, and a bit of relaxation in sewing mini quilts. So I’m turning something I am grateful for into a very {little} fabric club for people like me. People who love to sew, love to give handmade gifts, but find themselves short on time.

Each of the quilts pictured above came to me as gifts and I treasure them like you wouldn’t believe. The top one was sent from my sweet friend Jade, the middle from Ali, and the bottom from Megan. They hang in my sewing room and make my heart burst when I look at them.

And then yesterday, I just wanted to MAKE SOMETHING. Kate Spain’s Aria collection has been burning a hole in my stash, so I whipped up a little Cluck Cluck Sew mini pow-wow in what seemed like no time at all (about four hours from the first cut to the last binding stitch!) And I was even able to involve my little people in the process!

Now, I want to make all the mini quilts! And since our shop specializes in fabric clubs for quilters, I am thrilled to announce we are adding a Mini Quilt Club to our shop! Have you been considering joining a fabric club, but aren’t sure it’s a good fit for you? Maybe you don’t have as much time to sew as you used to and don’t want *too much* fabric arriving? This is the club for you. Each month, this one-of-a-kind club delivers a complete kit for a mini quilt to your doorstep. And when we say complete, we mean just that. Each month, your package will include everything you need to finish a project start to finish, including precut batting, backing and any notions needed. Mini Quilt Club-10

And because making it social makes it fun, and we want to encourage you to make a little each month, we will be giving away a $50 shop credit each month to a club member who shares a picture of their mini quilt on instagram! Because sewing with friends, near or far, is so fun!

We’d love to have you join us with this {little} club. Fabrics will be chosen from new releases, we’ll be tossing in favorite notions and knick knacks needed to finish your project, and we’ll be YOUTUBING (i’m freaking out!) techniques, tips and tricks to get your project finished quickly. We can’t wait! If you are interested, pop by our info page or join here.

Thank you so much for supporting our shop. I don’t know that I could ever say thank you enough. Our customers have made such a difference in our lives and we look forward to repaying you with amazing service, happy fabrics, and hopefully a way to find just a few minutes all to yourself!

I love that one from your friend Jade! Is that going to be one of the ones featured in the Mini Quilt Club? 🙂

What a great idea! I need all the clubs! Thanks for thinking this up.

Now, would you please give me more time to sew?

The timing of this club is perfect for me.
Finding time to sew after a full week of watching grandkids has become limited.
Two of the three are 9 month old twin girls. I was starting to think little blankets and quilts for their future dolls and stuffies !
I have made my first ( pattern I love and made crib sized for older brother ) and am eagerly awaiting next kit .
