Missing You

October 4, 2011

I haven’t much to say except that I am sorry I have been so very bad at blogging lately. I have been working on an, um, long term project and it has taken quite a bit out of me. The last two months hold very few memories and my sewing machine surely has a layer of dust upon it that I would be ashamed of, had I the time to go look!

You see, at the beginning-middle of August, my sweet mother in law came up to help me paint my dining room/kitchen, changing the room from this:

It is a project I had very much wanted to do for quite awhile, but had been putting off due to the presence of this particular little helper:

(Can you tell we have been eating a lot of baked potatoes lately? Monkey see, monkey do 🙂 )

And, when we went through with this plan, we painted the adjoining sewing room. And when I finished, months ago now, I lay down to take a nap and awoke just today! So, you see, this blog will once again be inhabited by someone who sews and crafts rather than sleeps and allows her sewing machine to sit, ignored.

I am hoping to finish my halloween quilt this weekend at sewing summit. EEEEeeeek! I get to go! Are you going? I cannot wait to meet so many fun (frequent) bloggers. So, see you soon. Hopefully I can get crafting!

I have also found myself in somewhat of a sewing rut. I have been doing painting and other crafting around the house. I am almost finished redoing the sewing room …hopefully that will get my sewing juices flowing again. I LOVE the wall color you picked. Your little chickens are adorable …as is your potatoe baker. hehe 😉 Glad your back! So jealous of the sewing summit! Have fun!
