Gingham & Clamshells: Free Pincushion Pattern!

April 1, 2016

On the morning we woke up in Fairhope, I dressed in this gorgeous gingham dress I had been eyeing at Nordstrom and Weston & I went on a walk around the duck pond. The scenery was amazing, so we tried to capture a good shot of the mini version of my Modern Fall quilt. As I stood on the little patio overlooking the pond, my husband was pointing and waving and saying something about a train. A train?mini Modern Fall From A Crafty Fox

I had to look over to see what he was telling me about. Oh! A CRANE!

And she was gorgeous!

So we decided to incorporate her into our photo. I like this one the best!

Then we finished our tour of the duck pond, which was just stunning. Seriously, why can’t Utah have trees like this?!

And we fed a few ducks. They were not impressed when we ran out of crumbs and resorted to flowers.

And if you’ve made it this far in my little story, I have a little something for you. I taught this clamshell tutorial at the trunk show I hosted in Pensacola, and I wrote it up into a little pattern to share with my readers. It’s adorable, right?

I thoroughly enjoyed your Trunk Show and class. It was a super evening! Now it’ll be a race to see who finishes their pincushion first.
