Take It To The Limit

January 21, 2016

For a list-maker, January always feels like a time of possibilities!  I love lists. Grocery lists, to-do lists and goal lists are my favorite . And this year, my planner is already filling with lists. So I’m sharing my goals for 2016. I’m hoping that will keep me honest (And from getting distracted!).

Most of my goals center around building up the things that matter to me. I miss my rose garden from our previous home. I’d love more time to enjoy my kids. I love the process of thoughtfully creating blog posts. I really want to get more patterns out of my head and onto paper! –  and eliminate things that just don’t matter to me (If anyone has figured out how to get rid of laundry, please share it in the comments below!)

Our family has even sat down and discussed a dream-travel list. If you listened to the Modern Sewciety podcast where I discussed how our family carved out time for each other, you’ll know we love to visit the stunning mountain ranges near our home. This year, we are hoping to visit a few new spots together. We are so excited to visit my parents in Florida. And Weston & I have been hoping for a trip to London for several years. Maybe this is our year?

So there they are. My hopes and dreams for 2016. Some dreams are bigger than others. Some of them really intimidate me. And a few I’ve already started on (I’ve ordered my roses and seeds!) I’d love to hear what you are thinking for your year ahead. Do you have a big goal? And, it might seem crazy, but can I help?

Lists are the best! And it seems you and I have many of the same goals this year! (Except London is definitely not on the docket lol.) Good for you for having the courage to share and we are rooting for you! ❤️

Love this so much. Yes, I’m a list maker too. One step at a time, we get there, right?
