So, perhaps you remember that I was working on a project that I couldn’t really share much of with you? Well, that is because it wasn’t my project to share. My wonderful friend Ali has been busy this summer designing quilt patterns. And now that she has announced it, I am so excited to show you my version of her ‘Starry Night’ quilt pattern.
So cool, right? I used Happy Campers and a little Katie Jump Rope. Ali may be having a little giveaway over on her blog for a Happy Campers charm pack (which is what you need to make the two largest stars) so head on over there for a chance at a pattern and a charm pack! Better yet, stop by her etsy shop and snag the pattern so you can get started right away!
And I just have to say that this pattern is a cinch. I used a charm pack and a few scraps along with the solid and the cutting took almost no time at all. It goes together quickly (and I am a S.L.O.W. piecer and quilter). If I hadn’t decided to rip out all of the quilting, it would have taken half the time. 😉 I would say this is the perfect quilt to finish the summer on!

That is beautiful! Are the stars reverse appliqued? And if so – does the top fabric have finished edges? (or is the star just pieced together with the solid color fabric?) I’m new to all of this, just wondering about the construction.
