So, here she is, my first finish of 2012! I love the beautiful colors in this quilt and while I wasn’t initially smitten with this line, I am now totally head over heels!
This quilt took me just a few days, one Outfoxed jelly roll (from our little etsy shop) and couple yards of white Kona cotton. That and some bigger pieces from my stash for the back and I have a finished quilt!
While mine isn’t as scrappy as the original, cutting is my least favorite part of the quilting process, so anytime I can use a pre-cut, I am there! I will share with you that my favorite color in this pink print I picked for the binding.
I think that is why I like this block the best. I love how it just makes this block glow, sandwiched in with the green and the orange. It makes me happy every time I look at it!
So jump in! Make yourself a Granny Square quilt! And make sure to hop on over to Jolene‘s blog and admire her version, which used scraps and is just as glow-y (is that a word?)
PS: Did you know this is going to be the pattern for the next Old Red Barn Quilt Along? So if you are on the fence, just keep an eye on this flickr group for lots and lots of gorgeous grannies!

Awesome!!!
