So, by now you have hopefully blog hopped your way over to Sara’s place at Sew Sweetness and seen my pattern review of my new, much adored quilt. I have a few more thoughts on this quilt that I didn’t share because they didn’t necessarily pertain to the pattern. So, I’ll share them here. Along with more pictures of this quilt because I simply can’t get enough of it!
1: There were a lot of late nights spent on this quilt. I love quilting on a deadline. My husband (and my laundry pile) disagree with the previous statement
2: I love basting. I know it isn’t the popular thing to say, but I am glad I got it off my chest. My name is Amanda and I love to baste.
3: The quilting on this one was a challenge. I am so glad I tackled it though. Facing your fears is a great way to grow your skills.
4: I love the evolution of binding. I prefer hand bound quilts, although I machine bound this one and I don’t like it any less for it.
5:Lastly, I feel badly that not a ton of people know which fabric line I am using. I don’t want it to seem exclusive! I want EVERYONE to have a shot at entering my little giveaway. So, if you don’t already know what this is:
Pop over here and then leave me a comment on this post. Truly, you’ll be glad you did. There is some serious fabric eye candy over there!
Thanks for following along on my quilting adventure!

I *love* it. And the background in those photos is just as stunning! I do think you’re a bit mental for liking basting though. 😉

I love what you have done with Tula Pink’s alpha pattern. Your quilt is beautiful. You have to tell me about your binding. That fabric is precious. Is this binding you have made and wound on a thread spool? Or are you buying this?? Thanks! 🙂
