Welcome To The World

April 10, 2012

Last week as I was blogging, I felt ready, prepared even, for the arrival of my new little one. And I guess he knew it, too. About an hour after I finished my post, I began to feel a wee bit of urgency to head over to the hospital. I went past my due date with my little girl, so I kind of pushed the feeling aside, figuring that the moment would pass.

Just a few hours later, our little guy entered the world so quickly our doctor didn’t even make it to the hospital in time. And it was love at first sight.
Love You, Little One

So far, he is a sweet, mellow baby and we are spending as much time as possible soaking up all the little cuddles and cute baby noises. Our little girl is simply smitten with him.
Abby and Her New Baby Brother

And he seems to love this blanket that sweet Ali sent to him. I literally cried opening the package. Quilts just carry so much love. I can’t wait until he is older and dragging it around the way Abby does with hers.
Gorgeous Quilt From Ali

So, not a lot of crafting has happened this week. I felt it was important to focus on other things. And this blog post is a bit baby-picture heavy. Forgive me?
First Smiles

Now, I must get back to kissing these sweet little cheeks, but I will be back soon with a couple of finishes!
