I already miss October. Easily my favorite month of the year, October feels like the beginning of good things. This year, everything seems a little bit extra special. Instead of looking through a dark tunnel for years, the view has changed to a landscape with so many opportunities. Having my October bucket list helped me whenever the thought popped up ‘what now?’. Having a roadmap made choices easier and kept my head in a good place.
From the list, I missed a few things. Crazy enough, I missed the FUN stuff. So at the top of November’s bucket list you’ll find ‘give yourself permission to play’. I’ve been reading (and by reading I mean listening via Audible, my absolute FAVORITE monthly expense!) the book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown. His theory for success involves using play as a means of sparking creativity. Heaven knows the world need more creativity.
This blog requires vulnerability, and I’ll state right now I rarely allow myself to have fun. Work seems so much more important and with so many different tasks in my home, work, and family life I never run out of things to do. Can you relate?
This month, perhaps we could work together on having fun? On involving play in our daily lives? You may have noticed many more posts appearing on this space on the internet. This month, the focus will be on pursuing not just happiness, but also fun. Being real & silly & letting loose a little bit. Let’s have real fun. For you, it might be different than my idea of fun. Just make sure your fun lines up on the right side of your quadrant. (If you haven’t filled out the Grid to Happiness yet, start there!)
So pin the bucket list & join me on having a fun & happier November than we’ve ever had before!

Oh I love this! I totally thought of you when I was feeling a bit glumly today, instead of sitting around, I turned on the party dance channel on pandora and rocked out while I drew on my wall. Yay for happy-happy quadrant!
